A modern alternative to chai, containing all the traditional benefits, but with no black tea. Abundant in exotic fruits and spices, and warming to the soul. When simmered with red wine makes for a perfect “mulled wine”.
Contains 220g of loose-leaf tea.
Ingredients: Apple pieces (Malus spectabilis), Hibiscus (Hibiscus sabdariffa), Orange peels (Citrus sinensis), Rosehip shells (Rosa canina L.), Star anise (Illicium verum), Allspice (Pimenta dioica), Cloves (Syzygium aromaticum), Cassia (Cinnamomum cassia)*, Natural aromatic fruit flavour, Cornflower blossom (Centaurea cyanus), Currants (Ribes)*.
Flavour: Aromatic, Warming & Full-bodied
Preparation: Bring fresh, cold water to a boil. Infuse 1 teaspoon of loose-leaf tea per person in a cup or teapot. Allow to steep for 7-10 minutes for the desired strength. Serve hot or chilled with honey or lemon to taste. Serve without milk.
Mulled Wine Recipe: Add 5 teaspoons of Warm-Spicy Loose-Leaf tea (tied in a cotton cloth) to 1 litre of red wine. Simmer with lid on for 10 min, do not allow to boil. Serve garnished with a slice of orange. Add sugar to taste.
